Terms of Use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, and to access the Website for personal, lawful purposes, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. This is a licence, not a sale: we and our licensors retain all rights in the Services, their software, design, branding and other content.

You agree not to:

• copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the App, except where that right cannot be excluded by law;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, or attempt to extract its source code;
• rent, lease, sell, sublicense or redistribute the Services or your access to them;
• remove or obscure any watermark, notice or attribution the App applies to an export while you are on the free tier;
• interfere with the Services or try to bypass access, security, purchase or usage controls;
• use the Services to break the law, infringe someone’s rights, or record a person without whatever consent your jurisdiction requires.

Everything you create in the App is yours.Scripts you write and videos you record remain your property, and we claim no licence over them. They are stored on your device and are not uploaded to us. If you choose to save a copy to Photos or share it with another app or service, that destination’s terms and privacy practices apply to the exported copy.

Because we hold no copy, you are responsible for backing up anything you care about. Deleting the App, resetting or losing your device, or removing an item inside the App can destroy the in-App copy permanently, and we cannot recover it. Copies saved to Photos, device backups or third-party destinations are separate and must be managed there.

You are responsible for the content of what you record and for having the rights to any script you read — including the consent of anyone who appears in or can be heard in a recording, where the law requires it.

The App is free to download. The free version includes the full teleprompter and recording features, with two limits: you can save up to 2 scripts, and exported recordings carry a small watermark.

Prompter Pro removes both — unlimited scripts and no watermark on any recording. Pro is sold as an auto-renewable subscription.

We may change what is included in the free tier or in Pro. If a change materially reduces what your active subscription provides, we will tell you before it takes effect so that you can cancel.

Prompter Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered on weekly and yearly plans. Only the plans actually displayed on your paywall are available to you. The price, billing period and any introductory offer for your region are shown in the App before you confirm, in your local currency.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price then shown for your plan.
• You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew in your Apple Account settings after purchase: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
• A free trial or introductory offer applies only when it is displayed to you and Apple confirms your eligibility. The paywall states the trial length and the price charged when it ends. Eligibility and use of introductory offers are governed by Apple’s rules.
• Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it through Apple.

Price changes are handled under the App Store rules. Apple may notify you and, where its rules or applicable law require it, ask for consent before a new price applies.

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. We cannot issue, approve or reverse a charge. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Statutory withdrawal and consumer rights, including those under EU and UK law, are unaffected by this section.

If something in the App is broken, write to support@promp.app — we would rather fix it than have you go through a refund.

We may add, change or remove features, and may stop supporting older versions of iOS as the App develops. We may suspend or discontinue a Service. If that happens while you hold an active subscription, any refund or other remedy is determined by Apple’s rules and applicable consumer law.

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a recording will complete successfully, or that it will work with every device, iOS version or accessory.

The App records video and audio on hardware we do not control. Storage can fill, batteries die, calls interrupt, and iOS can terminate a background app. For anything you cannot re-shoot, run a test recording first and keep a second capture.

Website material is general product information, not professional, legal or safety advice. You remain responsible for reviewing any script, disclosure or other wording before relying on or recording it.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost recordings, lost scripts, lost profits or lost opportunities arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.

The Services rely on Apple for distribution, payments, subscriptions, Photos and system sharing; RevenueCat for subscription status; Amplitude for privacy-limited product analytics; and a hosting provider for the Website. Their services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for a third-party destination you choose when exporting or sharing content, except to the extent the law does not allow that responsibility to be excluded.

Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide support for the App. This agreement is between you and us alone.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.

Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Scripts and recordings are not uploaded to us, while pseudonymous product events and subscription records are processed as described there.

You may end this agreement at any time by deleting the App — remember to cancel any active subscription through Apple separately. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms. The sections on your content, disclaimers, liability and governing law survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

We may update these Terms as the Services change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Where required, we will give advance notice of a material change. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them; if you do not, stop using the Services and cancel any subscription.
