Terms of Use

Last updated: July 30, 2026 Effective: July 30, 2026

These terms cover your use of Prompter, what you may and may not do with the app, and how the Pro subscription works.

The agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the publisher of Prompter (the “App”) — “we”, “us”. The publisher’s registered details are shown on the App Store listing for the App and are available on request. By downloading or using the App you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

The App is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where these Terms and Apple’s standard EULA conflict, the stricter protection for you applies.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, to use the App.

Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. This is a licence, not a sale: we and our licensors retain all rights in the App.

You agree not to:

  • copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the App, except where that right cannot be excluded by law;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, or attempt to extract its source code;
  • rent, lease, sell, sublicense or redistribute the App or your access to it;
  • remove or obscure any watermark, notice or attribution the App applies to an export while you are on the free tier;
  • use the App to break the law, infringe someone’s rights, or record a person without whatever consent your jurisdiction requires.

Your scripts and recordings

Everything you create in the App is yours. Scripts you write and videos you record remain your property, and we claim no licence over them of any kind. We could not use them if we wanted to: they are stored on your device and are never transmitted to us.

Because we hold no copy, you are responsible for backing up anything you care about. Deleting the App, resetting or losing your device, or removing an item inside the App will destroy that content permanently, and we cannot recover it.

You are responsible for the content of what you record and for having the rights to any script you read — including the consent of anyone who appears in or can be heard in a recording, where the law requires it.

Free version and Prompter Pro

The App is free to download. The free version includes the full teleprompter and recording features, with two limits: you can save up to 2 scripts, and exported recordings carry a small watermark.

Prompter Pro removes both — unlimited scripts and no watermark on any recording. Pro is sold as an auto-renewable subscription.

We may change what is included in the free tier or in Pro. If a change materially reduces what your active subscription provides, we will tell you before it takes effect so that you can cancel.

Subscription terms

Prompter Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered on weekly, monthly and yearly plans. The price for your region and plan is shown in the App before you confirm, in your local currency.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price then shown for your plan.
  • You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew in your Apple Account settings after purchase: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
  • Where a free trial or introductory offer is provided, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription to the same content. Introductory offers are limited to one per Apple Account, per Apple’s rules.
  • Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it through Apple.

If we change the price of an existing subscription, Apple will notify you and ask you to consent to the new price before it applies.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. We cannot issue, approve or reverse a charge. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Statutory withdrawal and consumer rights, including those under EU and UK law, are unaffected by this section.

If something in the App is broken, write to support@promp.app — we would rather fix it than have you go through a refund.

Availability and changes

We may add, change or remove features, and may stop supporting older versions of iOS as the App develops. We may suspend or discontinue the App; if we discontinue it while you hold an active subscription, you may be entitled to a pro-rata refund of the unused period through Apple.

Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a recording will complete successfully, or that it will work with every device, iOS version or accessory.

The App records video and audio on hardware we do not control. Storage can fill, batteries die, calls interrupt, and iOS can terminate a background app. For anything you cannot re-shoot, run a test recording first and keep a second capture.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost recordings, lost scripts, lost profits or lost opportunities arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.

Apple’s role

Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide support for the App. This agreement is between you and us alone.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.

Privacy

Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Scripts and recordings stay on your device, and we use anonymous analytics plus Apple and RevenueCat for subscriptions.

Termination

You may end this agreement at any time by deleting the App — remember to cancel any active subscription through Apple separately. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms. The sections on your content, disclaimers, liability and governing law survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the App changes. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the App after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms; if you do not, stop using the App and cancel any subscription.
